My work sits at the intersection of wireless networks, mobility and intelligent systems. I study how connected vehicles and infrastructure can predict change, manage resources and communicate reliably in complex environments.

Biography
Dr Noura Aljeri is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Kuwait University and a Research Fellow with the PARADISE Research Laboratory at the University of Ottawa. She directs ICAS Lab — Intelligent Connected Autonomous Systems at Kuwait University and founded the Kuwait National Robotics Competition.
Her research programme spans energy-efficient mobility management, network softwarization and machine-learning models for intelligent transportation systems. She is Principal Investigator or Co-Principal Investigator on four funded projects, including a KFAS-supported multi-institutional study of artificial intelligence in Kuwaiti higher education.
She received her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Ottawa in 2020, following an MSc and BSc from Kuwait University. Her recognitions include the 2025 ACM MSWiM Rising Star Researcher Award, the Pierre Laberge Thesis Prize, the Faculty of Engineering’s Most Outstanding PhD Thesis Award and a best paper award at IEEE AICCSA.
